Football’s coming back
A Saturday afternoon in mid July in normal times would be peak pre-season friendly season for the grass roots game. With only sanitised professional football taking place, the regions non-league clubs were handed a timely boost when the FA today announced their proposal for a safe return to football had been approved by the DCMS and that as of August 1st clubs outside of the top four divisions could begin to arrange friendly matches.
This news was met with positivity across social media, with many clubs eager to get back to action and restart their all important revenue streams.
Clubs will need to adhere to the strict regulations laid out by the FA following their consultation with government, but actual football with fans could be a matter of weeks away.
