Pools release season ticket information
With the National League set to start in the first two weeks of September, Hartlepool United have today released updated information about how fans can get their hands on season tickets.
Pools sold over 3,000 season tickets for the 2019/20 season with a variety of initiatives including finance offers and early bird price discounts, but the uncertainty around Coronavirus means the United board have decided to release 1,000 tickets in the first wave.
An adult season ticket comes in at £325.00 with the concessions at £225.00 with the age bracket dropping to 60 from 65.
The club statement released on the official website stated “We feel it is a business necessity to align our season tickets closer to our needs and the offerings of other clubs.” Hartlepool felt that they were no longer able to offer the concessions they have done in recent years with no guarantees that on the numbers that will be able to attend.
Reaction was mixed with some fans angry at the hike in price given the financial difficulties many are suffering.
Some fans however were more understanding of the clubs financial situation and suggested they were ok with the rises and the logic behind them.
One concern shared is that limitation on numbers, with the reduction from 3,000 to 1,000 meaning two out of three current season ticket holders could miss out. With Luke James having left for newly promoted Barrow, fans might want to see some movement on the playing side before committing financially.
